In the Land of Snow and Money
Park City, that is. It's the land of snow because, duh, it is -- the land of money because you're going to need it. Being a Florida girl, I've only had the pleasure (or nuisance) of being in so much snow a handful of times. But it's never been this much fun!
Tubing, skiing, snowmobiling, oh my. So far, the most heart-pounding adventure has been the Alpine Coaster. Imagine sitting in a sled with only a seat belt on and screaming at top speed down the mountain - including hairpin curves! The operator swore we couldn't derail. Thankfully, me and all the boys arrived alive and even took a second ride. All of us, extended family included, also took a sleigh ride half-way up and down the mountain. CLH and I took a romantic sleigh ride to a mountain-top dinner the next night (pulled by a sno-cat this time because it was at the tip-top.) On the downward trip, we saw all the constellations even though we could only name the Big Dipper.
All fun aside, I miss you sunny, sunny Florida and Florida friends. I'll be home soon and from what I'm hearing through the grapevine, I'll be coming home to snow of a different kind -- the downpour of yellow dust that coats the car, the window screens, my outdoor couch and makes my household got through a million boxes of Puffs Plus. That, I'm not missing!
Love the snow pictures! It looks like fun!! I always love when we do a snow trip, but like they say - You can take the girl out of FL, but you can't take FL out of the girl! ;-)
